Enhancements to the clash alerts in SOCS are on the way! Currently, the clash alerts in different modules—like sports and transport—vary slightly, with some offering more detailed information. In response to popular demand, we're standardizing how clashes are detected across the platform.

Our new Parent and Pupil Help System is now online. This update makes it even easier for parents to find the support they need. It’s a one-stop solution designed to provide clear, user-friendly guidance for parent and pupil SOCS users.  This is a valuable resource to share with your parent body, not only when they are first introduced to SOCS but also at key moments throughout the school year, such as just before an activity sign-up. Any links to old help pages that have been shared will now direct your school community to the latest version.

We’re pleased to introduce an update to Co-Curricular absence emails for iSAMS schools. These emails now include a 'send to tutors' option, alongside housemasters and parents, ensuring more comprehensive communication. This enhancement streamlines the flow of information, keeping all key parties in the loop.

As part of a broader update, tutors are now available in SOCS for iSAMS schools when a pupil sync is run. Tutors will also appear on registers and various reports in SOCS Co-Curricular, making tracking and communication even easier!

Don’t forget that SOCS offers many options to help you customise your team sheet visibility settings. These features are designed to allow you to align with your school’s policies and guidance, ensuring that everyone has the access they need while maintaining a secure environment.

Perfect alignment: Oakham’s co-curricular success powered by SOCS

Did you know you can easily manage parent consent for fixtures using SOCS Sport? This feature simplifies communication by allowing schools using SOCS to select team sheets to quickly obtain and track parental consent for pupil participation in fixtures. If you’d like to activate this time-saving tool, simply reach out to us at support@socs.tech. Our team is ready to assist you in getting started. This feature is included as part of the Team Sheet selection in SOCS Sport at no additional cost!

We’re excited to announce that the YouHQ integration is now fully up and running with SOCS! 

YouHQ is a wellbeing platform designed to support pupils’ mental health by allowing staff to monitor and manage emotional wellbeing more effectively. SOCS can now sync YouHQ data, updating registers to inform staff about pupils' mood and well-being. For example, adding a sad face emoji next to students marked as 'low mood' in YouHQ.
