The new SOCS Parent and Pupil Portal is now available, bringing an enhanced experience for parents and pupils with a fresh, intuitive design and familiar functionality.
Following a successful rollout with a number of our beta-testing schools, all SOCS schools can now explore the new experience using the “Try the new version” link, which will appear in the current Parent and Pupil Portal. This allows parents and pupils to click through and take a look whenever they’re ready — with no disruption to their usual experience.
Built-in support makes getting started simple, with guided tours, access to the knowledge base, and a quick search tool available directly within the portal to help users find what they need.
Our team is also working hard to bring online payment portal integration into the new Parent and Pupil Portal, and we’ll be sharing further updates on this shortly.
When you’re ready to make the full switch, simply email support@socs.tech and our team will take care of the rest.
Please note: the current version of the Parent and Pupil Portal will be retired later this year, and we’ll share more details closer to the time.
A new report is now available within SOCS Co-curricular, making it even easier to access high-level attendance insights for clubs and activities across the term.
Found under SOCS Co-curricular > Reports > Activity Club Term Attendance Overview, this report provides a clear summary of attendance statistics, making it particularly useful when preparing reports for SLT meetings, governors, or wider school review.
The report can be filtered by category and, by default, includes current pupils only, although this setting can be adjusted where needed. Data can also be exported to Excel or CSV for further filtering, sorting and analysis.
Additionally, it is now possible to review summary statistics for previous terms under Pupil Reports in SOCS, helping schools build a clearer picture of long-term participation and attendance trends.
We’re delighted to see a growing number of schools choosing SOCS TV to capture, stream and share their school sport and co-curricular content.
Designed with schools in mind, SOCS TV makes it easy to broadcast fixtures, events and performances to parents, pupils and the wider school community, with safeguarding and school control at the heart of the platform. From live-streaming major sporting occasions to creating a library of on-demand content, schools are continuing to find new ways to bring their stories to life through video.
It’s been fantastic to see momentum building as more schools come on board and explore the possibilities of school-owned streaming and video content.
This month, Schoolssports.tv was proud to stream the English Schools' Football Association competition finals live from Stoke City football ground, bringing 12 days of schools' football action to audiences across the country.
The finals featured 49 matches across boys’ and girls’ competitions, with players ranging from U11 to U18 and schools travelling from all over the UK to compete on a national stage. Every match was streamed live with on-the-ground commentary, helping families, supporters and school communities follow the action wherever they were.
With more than 2,000 match passes sold across the finals, it was fantastic to see so many viewers tuning in to watch live and support school football at every level.

Our friends at The Well HQ recently launched Well Said, a new podcast offering a fresh and engaging take on topics affecting girls and women in sport. We were delighted to attend the Independent Schools' Bursars Association Conference 2026 earlier this month, where it was fantastic to connect with so many schools and members of the SOCS community. Events like these are always a valuable opportunity to hear first-hand how schools are using SOCS day-to-day, share ideas, and continue conversations about what’s next for the platform.
It was also a pleasure to be joined by our partners Joymo and Pedagogue, who were on hand to support conversations around SOCS TV and SOCS: AI Readiness. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us – we always enjoy the chance to catch up and hear more about the challenges and opportunities schools are facing.
